Decide Your Price
The process of working out what to pay when buying a home requires research, research and more research. But it’s worth the heartache as it’s an important part of the buying process.
First, you can keep in touch with your real estate agent. Since they have the local market knowledge and will know the comparitive price of houses in your area.
But you should also do your own research.
1. Keep an eye on sales in your area. Know every house for sale and what price it sold for. Don’t be afraid to ring real estate agents and ask.
2. Check web sites that offer comparative prices in the area that you want to buy into.
3. You can also check the real estate section of newspapers to get results of local auctions.
The price is what the market will pay – if you know what other properties similar to yours are selling for, you will know the price of your property.
